@JKK -- what is the name of the server to which you are trying to connect? The My Shaw Portal? Other?
Is it possible that you (or some "hacker") entered your ID, but tried an incorrect password, too many times, and your ID has been locked-out by the server? For example, some hacker may have tried, many times, to logon to your online banking account, and your bank needs you to telephone them, to help you change your password, and to unlock your ID.
Maybe, a "dead" key on your keyboard, when trying to put your password into the "********" field, so that what you type is not being sent ?
