Hi @Hotcana , yes that is the standard practice unless you specially request and make it understood to them that you do not want this new contract to start until a specific future date, not sure how much in advance they can offer certain packages at certain prices though. How far in advance from now was your contract going to end? Don't forget about the 10 day grace period you have, contact Shaw directly thru phone/chat/social media messenger and explain the misunderstanding to them and see if anything can be done to fix this.
