I'm a Shaw Internet /Roger and Fido customer for 4+ years and with an excellent credit score/no out standing payments in any accounts.. I went to a mobile store to get a device on financing with rogers. The system hit an error for credit check and is unable to proceed with the application.
Is this a common issue?
I'm unable to use the Shaw Internet account number to create account on the rogers community or to reach customer care as existing customer.
I have been trying to reach out to the contact numbers provided on the links, but they're not able to provide the answer.

Did the manager of that Mobile Store admit that it was a transient problem with the Rogers "back-end" servers?
What was the error-message?
Could the manager of the Mobile Store successfully run a credit check on themself, to prove that their system works?
I've not seen any posts to this forum that describe that symptom. So, the short answer seems to be "no", but I never "lurk" at any Mobile Store to invade the privacy of any customer who is making a transaction. Thus, I have no evidence to say either "yes" or "no".

That is a different problem. What error-message did you get when you tried?
You seem to have created an ID on this Shaw Community Forum.
or to reach customer care as existing customer.
The "integration" between Shaw and Rogers is not complete. For example, when trying Xfinity Streaming to a desktop computer, there is one web-site for "originally-Rogers" customers (who probably are in Ontario) and "originally-Shaw-but-now-migrated" customers, to be able to access streaming content. Posting some more content & details on your attempts could be helpful.
@karmask The Rogers forum requires a Rogers account number to register. You would need to contact Fido to resolve this issue.
