Very bad experience with a Customer Service Representative

I signed for Shaw Internet and was installed 21st of December. However it wasn't activated and every time I called Tech Support and get different explanation and nobody give me any timeline on when it can be fixed. I ended up without internet for weeks and literally spoiled our holidays. I decided to have my order cancelled and talk to one of your customer rep and he told me that he submitted the cancellation and even gave me a ticket number. I made a couple of follow up call to confirm the cancellation and I was told that it will take longer time due to holiday. Finally, I called January 12 and talk to Patrick (from Alberta) to make follow up.  He was charging me $300+ for early cancellation and was very rude and even denying that I requested cancellation previously. He sounded more like a scammer rather than a Customer Service Representative. I ask him to transfer me to his supervisor, but after few minutes he talk to me again with the same tone and  rudeness.  I felt that I was being disrespected, so I decided to end our conversation. What is interesting is, right after I hanged up, he called me and left message on my voice that he is confirming the cancellation without any fee. And at the same time emailed me shipping label for equipment return together with cancellation confirmation.  I just don't understand why such person can work on Customer Service with that kind of attitude and incompetence.
