you don't have to believe it, but it's true.  The fibre is to the node, then I am coaxed into my house like 99% of the planet with shaw.  My gaming rig is connected directly to my router via CAT5 and yes, those are the speeds I get.  You could be correct it might be CAT 5e, but I do know the cable is 20 years old...how long has 5 e been around?

Hi @uwish  Cat 5e standard came out in 1999 , so yes more than a little likely you have a Cat 5e cable and not Cat 5 as you should not be able to obtain those speeds with the old Cat 5.
