Hey,are you still having problems? I know this is a rather late reply (about 3/4th's of a year). I can give a little advice but needed some more info that you didn't put into your original question and responses.

I have had the same trouble. Ran wireshark and captured network http traffic for port 8080 vs port 8090 and discovered that it is indeed being filtered for port 8080 but not for 8090.

I showed this evidence to a shaw/rogers representative and the response was, as you can imagine, underwhelming.

They would not admit they are doing it and claimed it is against "policy" do discuss it.

I have been having this issue, went through support with no help at all after being told I could move over what I needed from a retired business plan to residential.  It seems that incoming traffic on port 80 is blocked since moving my HTTP traffic to another port internally would also not work.

Tried the DMZ option, but that too seems to still block traffic incoming on port 80, so what is the point of the DMZ.  I should be able to have my own router running on the DMZ IP so I can control what is behind that.  Fix this please ASAP Shaw or let me cancel my plan without penalty!
