I went in the menu, settings and chose the reset option

I’ve tried this a dozen times. The Shaw tech made it work when he was here last week and this morning I woke up and it doesn’t work anymore. So friggin frustrating!!!!
I hear you. This is the worst system I’ve ever had. Why is 1/3 of the bottom of the picture covered for 6 seconds every damned time I press a button???
I tried this several times and it did not work. I am a new BlueCurve customer and so far not a very happy one. It’s stuff like this that is just so frustrating. I wish I could go back to my old Gateway.

Press the EXIT button to reclaim that 1/3.
Or, enter SETTINGS, and switch the on-screen menu away from "double-height", and/or to change the duration before it "auto-hides" to a small number of seconds.
Nope doesn't work for me this time. Have had to do this MANY times. Telus, here I come. I hate Rogers and after 41 years as a LOYAL Shaw customer it is time to switch.
i agree but shaw not with rogers yet, next year. i had bluesky over a year ago, it was good but prices not too much. good luck with telus and hope there is fiber in your area.

What is the model-number for your remote-control?
What is the model-number for your BlueCurve TV box?
Have you tried the "voice" button on your remote-control to "speak" to the BlueCurve -- "skip forward 30 seconds" ?
