What the 3510 is doing is normal operation. It won't allow you to schedule overlapping programs if the other tuner is already busy or scheduled to be busy.  And the 3400 would normally operate the same, except the 3400 software has a feature that can be enabled (DVR Clipping) that will allow you to schedule such overlapping programs (up to 5 min overlap) and it will simply clip the beginning of the 2nd program. It would have been wonderful if the 3510 had that option as well, but unfortunately no. Last software update for the 3510 was August 2022, so I don't expect any feature updates. 😞

@gary_hall  If you get the wired XG1v4 there recordings will be on the cloud and the hard drive. You will most likely be given the wireless boxes which will be cloud only.

Here's a semi-related question.  Who would I communicate with, if anyone, to request a guide correction?  Would that be Shaw tech support?  That would resolve my problem indirectly.
