I have an Arris XG1-A set top box & Shaw remote control.
When I press power button on remote, the TV turns on, the audio/video receiver turns on and the set top box displays the time & its power button lights up bright blue.
When I power off on the remote, the TV turns off, the audio/video receiver & the set top box both stay on. Even though I have powered off, the audio continues to be on. The only way that I can turn off the audio is to manually press the set top box power button or to turn off the audio/video receiver itself.
Why doesn't the set top box turn off the sound? If I don't do it manually, the sound is on 24/7 and wastes electricity.
