Did TSN tell Shaw that it would be a 2-hour "window" on the schedule that Shaw posts to the Shaw Guide?
Or, did you choose to "record", and the PVR showed "this is a live broadcast" (for 2 hours), and then you clicked "extend recording by 15 minutes" ?
It has to be a very-fast game (few penalties, few scrums, no long pre-game ceremonies, no long goal-reviews, no major injuries, no "raising a jersey to the rafters"), to be only 2:15 from start to end.
I'm thinking because it's BlueCurve TV, any live sporting event should continue to record if the event runs longer than the scheduled time slot in the guide. In this case, that didn't happen. Typically I don't need to add additional time, as it even states that before confirming the recording, that the recording will extend if the live sporting event runs long. The recording stopped at 2 hours 15 minutes, while the live sporting event didn't end.
I wished I would have done more research prior to going to blue curve. I have had several of the issues mentioned in the articles, sound gone, recordings skipping, most frustrating is recordings saying I watched the whole thing sometimes 1/2 way through sometimes 2 minutes in and asking you to delete. I miss my gateway system, new it well and rarely had any issues. Shaw better get these problems resolved or they will lose a lot of customers. Had it for a couple of weeks and very disappointed. Slow reaction time, no where near as many features and options as the gateway. Bigger problem when I asked to switch neither the tech that was here at the time or the customer service person told me there were many problems with this system, if they had been honest I would not have switched from my gateway, I was told the gateway was old technology and the blue curve was great, faster and more options, NOT. SHAW better get it together.
I am having this same problem and this is now Dec 30 2022. What is the fix for this? Hockey game ending with 2 minutes left is not ideal. The recordings are set to record an extra 30 min and this doesnt stop the problem.
I think I have fixed this. Was chatting with Shaw she said to go to auto play but that option is not available on blue curve. You need to go to settings, labs. And change it to let play into next episode. Mine was turned to no and you need it to be yes.

I am also having this problem many times. I guess that's what I will have to do but we are definitely switching from Shaw - too many problems
