You’re right, of course @ rstra . It’s been Shaw for so long I automatically typed them in! However , when I mentioned credit card payments, I was talking about Telus. Telus charges a fee for credit card payments. I should have referenced my comment to @dropshort as they said they would now move to Telus and I was just pointing out that Telus takes your payment just 15 days after the invoice date plus you get charged for a credit card. I just wanted to make them aware before they moved to Telus because they’re annoyed with Rogers (Together with ShOne thing I noticed in their email about automatic payments, though, doesn’t make sense. They stated “automatic payments will now take place 14 days after your invoice date and 7 days before your due date”. Since they are on a monthly billing cycle, there is a discrepancy of a week in there. Are they going to be taking your payment 14 days after the invoice date or 21 days after the invoice date, which is 7 days before the “due date”?!
Apparently there is a time limit to edit a comment! I was doing so when I got cut off with no warning and no ability to switch to my edited comment! There’s a sentence in my above comment that doesn’t make sense: “(Together with ShOne thing ….” It should read “(Together with Shaw). One thing …..”
The only other thing that makes sense about Rogers taking automatic payments 14 days after the invoice date and 1 week before the due date is if they’re planning on changing the due date to three weeks after the invoice date (which I was writing before my edit got cut off!)
Yeah I was kind of surprised when I paid my last bill on the 27th of July only to have it say I have to pay again on Aug. 17th instead of the 27th. I've been trying to find out if I can just pay it today but nobody seems to give me an answer.
trouble is...you will now incur late payment charges. This is a ridiculous plan and unfair. I for one am considering moving to another carrier. Freedom now has TV and Internet. Check it out! Much cheaper as well.
