@48chev -- are you saying that you experienced a house fire that damaged the contents, including electronics (cable-modem, et cetera) rented from Rogers/Shaw that was damaged/destroyed by fire (or water)? Do you have home insurance, to cover this loss? Have you contacted Rogers/Shaw (1-888-472-2222) to explain your situation, to ask for relief? Was it current-generation equipment, or some "legacy" boxes?
