@michaelstein wrote Did not receive an e-mail titled "Your Shaw Agreement"
Do you use Shaw WebMail to view the incoming E-mail, or some other E-mail client, e.g., Microsoft Outlook or Windows Mail?
There is a "quirk".
If an incoming E-mail to your "@shaw.ca" ID is identified (by Shaw) as being "spam", it is moved into Shaw's "Junk" folder -- not the "Junk" folder within your E-mail client. So, if you use Shaw WebMail, you will see the message. However, if you use Microsoft Outlook to download the new messages, all messages in that "Junk" folder will not be downloaded to your E-mail client.
If you suspect that this is happening, logon to Shaw WebMail, and look in the "Junk" folder. Then, click on "Preferences". Click on "Mail". Click on "Spam". Select "Label message as Spam and keep in Inbox". Click on "Save". Then, move all current messages from "Junk" to "Inbox". Start Outlook, to download those "moved" messages. All future "spam" messages will be downloaded to Outlook, and Outlook may move those messages to your local "Junk Mail" folder.
Nope. Did not receive an e-mail titled "Your Shaw Agreement". Also checked in Spam/Junk. Nothing there.
The only e-mail received was "Your Order Summary".
@michaelstein , Ok now I understand why you could not understand me, you are saying that you never received the "Your Shaw Agreement". If this is true you would be a very rare customer indeed, because everybody gets it. How long ago did you renew your 2 year value plan services? If it has been a long time ago now, it might have went to your junk folder by mistake and has since been long deleted. This is why I kept saying your order summary is not whole contract, I was assuming naturally that you had received and read your entire contract, with all the small print exclusions, because it is all in that second email. Well at least this makes some sense now. Since you don't have a copy of your agreement, you can always use the link I provided in an earlier post to view it online, and it will show you what your contract really contains. Oh I just remembered something on my last renewal when they sent me an email, inside the email was 2 pdf downloads that I could click on, 1 was the order summary and the other one was the shaw agreement, is there any chance this might have been the case and you somehow missed it?
Yup, total scumbag monopolies that Canadians are stuck with. Thanks Liberals, for allowing these mergers to go through. Every time my Shaw bill climbs, I try to find ways of pruning it but now they are down to jacking up the rental rates on the boxes. And not even little subtle increases but insultingly high ones to boot! to add injury to insult, try contacting a live support agent or even the online chat help (I was number 115 in line for even that!).
I will certainly be returning my boxes and start using the app on my smart TV's.
You could tell in day one that rogers took over shaw when you called into shaw the customer service reps tones were totally different. You could tell that the reps since rogers their tones were all profit driven how much money can a make from the customer for rogers. They were all profit profit profit when called into shaw when needed they used to be their interest was how can I help this customer no more it's all profit profit profit the main goes of answering calls for rogers there's no shaw left in it. Anything they can do or get away with the prices will be jacked up. I had a lady at rogers tell me the two sensors I see on my account for security there is only one but I see two different serial numbers should only be one except for a nightmare scary rep messed up to no end and am stuck with 2 sensors and they are showing on my account and told me the two I am seeing is wrong don't know why. There is a reason there is something there or by now it would have been gone with the update. Not good at all. Just telling me to ignore the 2 I see on my account is a mistake well fix the mistake. It's all profit driven. Less customer service more taking advantage of a problem turning it into how can I make more money for rogers. In my eyes it's all rogers there is no shaw left in it at all. Period

Note that Shaw's mail-server spam-checks each E-mail to any Shaw ID.
If you use Shaw WebMail, you may see messages in the "Junk" folder.
However, if you use some E-mail client, e.g., Microsoft Outlook, this client may not download the messages from that "Junk" folder.
Thus, a message marked as "junk" (even documents from Rogers/Shaw) will not be visible on your computer.
So, if you are not using Shaw WebMail, login, and check the "Junk" folder for messages.
I agree service is terrible internet spotty. Signed a two year contract only to find they can still find ways of increasing your bill. What is the point of signing a two yr contract. When my term comes up I will be leaving Shaw /rogers after being a loyal Shaw customer for over 20 yrs.
I filed a complaint with CCTS as well which prompted a Rogers rep email me. I got a Credit for the increase for the 2 months that had past and reverse the increase for the remainder of my contract.
Interestingly BELL MTS (Manitoba) had just run their new fibre cable in my neighborhood last month. Had them run it right to my house as well just in case. Good thing!
I have been a loyal Shaw customer for 30+ years, but I think this will cause me to switch. BELL is $50/ less, and no contract. Sounds like worth exploring more.
I think we have to look at the % of the increase too - from $5 plus an additional $7 = $12 per month. That's 140% increase. What else in your life could increase by 140% without you being upset. That's the discussion I had with all the reps I spoke to.
Anyway - good luck to everyone!

Ask any addicted cigarette smoker. Unless they can go "cold-turkey", they will pay the higher price, or they will reduce their daily quantity, to maintain their habit.
For me, as a lifei-long non-smoker, a 140% increase in the price of cigarettes is not upsetting me at all. 🙂
