Hi @mdk , I have a habit of always reading between the lines and trying to judge what a person is really trying to say, even there tone and inflections when speaking in person. In this case it bit me in the butt, but as a general rule it rarely lets me down. So again I apologize you were more correct in not reading things between the lines in this situation. By the way insults are for 6 year old's , I don't need to grab a thesaurus thank you very much, Rest assured I will never try to correct you again on any of your posts, right or wrong. Take Care , Stay Safe.
I can see on the bill that I am charged however the charge is removed....so not sure why they bother. The guy I spoke with today from Vancouver/Shaw said it is plane as day and easy to read...I own both....there is however a mention of a third box,I have no idea what they are talking about and was told they would not want it back anyways..good because there is no third box.The guy from Vancouver Shaw was great to deal with and knew what he was talking about. The previous guy I spoke to the day before was pleasant and was trying to do his job well,I he just did not succeed.I have encountered this type of performance issues with a well known coffee company and also a well known car radio station supplier....very frustrating.
@tedeebar wrote:I was reading through this comment and I really cannot remember why they took my old box.I am guessing the tech thought it was older and decided to change it....it was probably ten years or more ago but again, only guessing. As I stated in my comments,I was completely right, the 2 pvrs are both mine and Shaw said they can actually see it on their computer systems....both are owned by owner.I feel bad for some people who give away their items to companies due to just not remembering.
Indeed these oversights do occur and more care, by both parties needs, to be taken tracking these devices. Fair to say at this point your modems should be returned to you and you should carry on using the new gear, paying the rental fee. This confusion is the downside of buying your own gear these days. Renting allows limitless warranties and seamless upgrading. I gave up buying cable gear some time ago and never looked back. At present I have 1 Blue Curve Gateway, 4 Wireless TV players and 3 pods. I pay a very small rental fee. More importantly I have a smooth running system and peace of mind.
