The bill was deducted twice, once on August 15, 2024, and the second time on August 28. Please refund the overcharged fees.
@20230515 -- welcome to this peer-to-peer discussion forum, where volunteers try to help.
If you look at your recent invoices, you will see an announcement about their changes in billing, effective for all invoices issued after July 15.
In your case, you were invoiced just before July 15, and you had authorized Shaw/Rogers to auto-debit your bank 30 days later, namely August 15. That invoice was for services received from July 14 to August 14.
Then, you were invoiced just before August 15, and, under the new policy (effective July 15), the auto-debit was made 14 days later, on August 28. That invoice is for services from August 15 to September 14.
So, there is nothing to "refund" to you. It is just a change in their collection policy.
My bill is automatically deducted from my card on the 15th of every month, but this time it was deducted twice.
@20230515 , you were just explained on why it was deducted twice in a month, you no longer have autopay withdrawals on the 15th of every month , the autopay deduction comes out now 14 days after invoice date, so as was explained above. You have not paid anything extra they just took the money early for the next months invoice and from now on it will be on the new payment schedule, no longer once every 30 days.
The payment was deducted on both August 15th and 28th. If the next bill is on the 28th, there will still be an additional deduction this month. No further deductions should be made on the 28th of next month
@20230515 , the payment that was deducted on the 15th was your regular monthly payment for services ending on the 15th, then of course a new invoice would be created for the next months services, but instead of it always being due 30 days later on the 15th of the next month, that has now stopped and all autopayments are now taken out of your account 14 days after invoice, so that new invoice would be due to be paid on the 28th not the 15th of the next month that you were used to, we used to have 30 days to pay with autopay but no longer, it is now 14 days. So from now on after that 1st. time double in one month, your autopay will now come out on the 28th approx. of every month, not the 15th any more. I hope this explains it a little better. So from now on your autopay will be the 28th approx. going forward.

Correct. You were invoiced on July 14, and on August 14.
The first auto-debit, under the old policy, was August 14.
The second auto-debit, under the new policy, was 14 days after the invoice on August 14, namely the 28th.
If the next bill is on the 28th, there will still be an additional deduction this month.
No. Your next auto-debit will be September 28, under their current policy.
No further deductions should be made on the 28th of next month
No. You paid on August 28. Your next auto-debit will be on the 28th of the next month, namely September. The next auto-debit after September 28 will be October 28.
Again: read the "fine print" on your invoice dated July 14th, which explains their new policy.
This appears to be double billing
@phandy4647 , lets see for the 47th million time, it is not double billing. If you read the above posts you would find the explanation on why and how this billing structure happened. Not once are you paying twice for the same months service coverage, check your bill closely and you will see that those 2 payments that came out very close to each other are actually for 2 complete months of service, not 2 payments for the same months service.
