I recently renewed my 2-year Valuplan and received a free indoor/outdoor security camera.
Unfortunately, I do not have a secure outlet that I can connect the WIFI/power supply to on the outside of my townhouse.
I have tried putting the camera on an indoor window sill but have found the camera's lights reflect off the window making the outside image useless. The camera is pointing towards my unlit front door.
Is there any way to turn off the IR lights in the HomeConnect app or on the camera itself? Any other ideas on how to use the camera to view outside my townhouse?
@dionysis -- is the physical presence of the outside camera enough to deter anybody from having their image recorded? In other words, does the camera need to work? 🙂

Sounds like you need to hire an electrician to install such an outlet.
I had the same issue.
The solution is to turn off ‘Night Vision’ in the cameras settings. This prevents the Night Vision from automatically turning on infrared LED lights when low light is detected.
Keeping night vision off is recommended for cameras that face reflective surfaces, like windows, where the infrared lights can cause a reflection that can block your view.
Turning off Night vision may result in darker footage in low light conditions, but I have found the footage to still be satisfactory.
