@Jack69 -- We have this exact issue ...
The cable-modem could be blocking by IP-address, not by the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name), namely www.youtube.com
$ nslookup www.youtube.com
Name: youtube-ui.l.google.com
Addresses:
172.217.3.206
172.217.14.206
172.217.14.238
216.58.217.46
Aliases: www.youtube.com
So, are you blocking all of the above IP-addresses?
I have exactly same issue and Shaw rep doesn't seems to understand or belive this. I was wondering if you found any solution? Please share
I sometimes change password of internet for short period of time and share only with my husband or restart modem and share password only with my husband. I put old password again when my son is out-of that zone of bad youtube
