Bridged modem - wifi quality

Has anyone using a bridged Shaw modem with their own router, noticed that the reliability of wifi has gone down recently?

I experience this issue at two different locations (2 shaw accounts).

I have shut down all network devices multiple times, waited, and then brought each device online one at a time. Still, nothing changes.

I guess I am curious if network upgrades have caused this.

I recently tried running my network using just the Arris XB6 modem / router combination with and without BlueCurve pods. Unfortunately network performance wained as I found when I originally got this device. I have since rebridged the modem/ router and reintroduced my AirPort Extreme back into the mix.

Back to fast wifi performance around the house.

iPad Pro 450 Mbps

AppleTV v4 250 Mbps

iPhone Se 250 Mbps

Hey kpb,

Thanks for reaching out. I haven't heard of any reports of this issue, I have a similar set up at home and they work together with no problems. Since the modem is bridged and you are using a 3rd party router for your WiFi, it may be a setting or WiFi interference causing issues. I'd recommend troubleshooting the router (factory reset) and to optimize your WiFi to see if that helps.

Cheers,
