I can't open some Chinese websites, such as: cn.aliyun.com; www.baidu.com; etc...
I tried to restore to manufacture of the router but still not working.
What should I do? I need these websites very often and I have to use VPN to open these websites right now.
Thank you, please help me.
Exactly what message do you get when you try to open either web-site?
If you or a friend has another device (laptop, desktop, smart-phone) that can connect (wired or WiFi) to your Shaw router, can you connect?
I had no problem opening either web-site -- Windows computer, with a Hitron router.
What "Internet Security" package are you using? MacAfee? Norton Internet Security? Kaspersky? Could that software be blocking those sites?
Using a VPN "tunnels" all your Internet traffic to what seems to be a "non-blocked" IP-address, and then the VPN-server sends your traffic to those sites. To me, that suggests that your computer is blocking traffic to some specific IP-addresses.
All my devices can not open those websites. include computer, smartphone and iPad, as long as connect to this router.
In addition, I don't have any security software on my computer, and it was doing well before yesterday, no any change in my computer.
Just from yesterday. many Chinese websites can not be opened.
I have a VPN which is connected to Chinese. Once I run it, then I can open those websites.
Once I was opening those websites, I have to wait about 30-60 seconds, then will show this page below:
I think this issue should related to the DNS server you allocate to me. This DNS server banned those websites.
