Cookie too large error 400 at Hotspots

Trying to get my new device registered at a Hot spot, but each time it tells me Error 400 Cookie too large no matter if I use Chrome or Edge on Windows 11.  I have tried a couple hot spots now and same errors.  How can I register by MAC address like I used to be able to?

@Victag  You can’t register MAC addresses anymore. Do you have cookies disabled?

No I allow them.

@Victag -- after the fact, I do not know what fixed the same error-code for me:

1. inside the web-browser, deleting all the "cookies" for the "shaw.ca" domain,
2. waiting 12 hours, while Shaw/Rogers fixed a problem with their WebMail server.

Anyway, for me, it just was "temporary".
