I unplugged the modem and disconnected the coax for 30 seconds and cleaned the copper lead with 2000 grit.

Maybe it helped?

I rebooted the modem several times earlier but it didn't help so not sure.

Your results look like you are subscribed to "Internet 300" (300 download, 15 upload) and are getting 331 & 16.27 -- slightly more than what you are paying for.

Was your processor running at 100% while the SpeedTest was running? If it was, then that could explain the lower results.

Earlier, was something updating in the background? Adobe Reader? Microsoft OneDrive? Anti-virus? Windows Update? consuming some of your download and processor resources? Somebody else on your home network streaming something?
