email being deleted from trash

I use outlook (connected via imap) on a windows computer as my primary email client. From this connection, I manage the trash (move older items out). What is happening is that when I am away from my computer for vacation (2-3 weeks). email is being removed from the Trash folder. I do not believe that it is my android email clients causing this. Can you tell me if Shaw email is automatically removing anything from the trash folder?

Thank you for reaching out! I haven't heard of any reports of this issue. I checked my personal Shaw email account and still see very old emails remaining in the inbox. Can you check to see if the emails you sent to the trash is still in your webmail? I would also recommend making sure the preference for your mail settings are set to the below:
