I have a Fiber Optic cables ( Bell ) running up to our house . Can your company install this if i request it ?
@Deed2020 -- while both Shaw/Rogers & Bell/Telus/SaskTel probably have fiber-optic cables up-and-down your street, Shaw/Rogers currently uses coaxial-cable for the "last mile" -- from the nearest telephone-pole into your home, while Bell/Telus/SaskTel will "tap" those on-pole cables, and run fiber-optic cable into your home.
Note that Telus has, for years, been gradually deactivating all the "twisted-pair" telephone-cables from the telephone-pole into your home, and is replacing it with fiber-optic cable for your land-line service. I presume that Bell has also been doing the same, for land-line service.
In your case, getting Internet from Bell should be easy, and maybe cheaper, using your existing fiber-optic cable, as compared to getting a "full" installation/connection by Shaw/Rogers of coaxial-cable.
I expect that Shaw/Rogers technicians will not "touch" any Bell-provided fiber-optic cable. Instead, they will run coaxial-cable into your home. Shaw/Rogers is now offering 2.0 Gbit/second Internet speed, over coaxial-cable, if you want to pay about $220 (plus taxes) per month for really-fast Internet.
P.S. In a very few locations, e.g., parts of Calgary, Shaw/Rogers is bringing fiber-optic cable into homes. If they do, in your area, I expect that Shaw/Rogers will NOT touch the Bell fiber-optic cable -- instead, run another fiber-optic cable into your home.
