how do i minimize ignite tv screen to use another app on my android tablet?

On my ipad I can minimize ignite tv and then use my ipad for another application.     Works fine.

I can not do this on my new samsung tablet.     Tech support said it is not possible on android, sorry.   

Anybody know how to do this??    Thanks

@davehughcurrie -- on a "Samsung Community" online forum, I found:

The mode you are describing is Picture-in-Picture that you can disable from the phone's Settings for that specific app.

So, can you do the opposite, namely to try to enable Picture-in-Picture?
