How to enable second ip on the pass through port for CGNM-2250

I have a pfsense box that is connected via pass through to the mentioned modem. I would like to have the pfsense box assigned the external ip address. How to?

I have the same query? and one thing more In this case I need to change my modem or its work with the same modem.

As per the content above, you will need to reach out to customer support to enable a second IP on the Hitron modem. The other available modem you can complete an IP passthrough is the  Cisco DPC3848V Advanced WiFi Modem.

The secondary IP was enabled by default but I may have configured the passthrough on a different port. Setting it up by mac address worked. Then I just refresh the DHCP release and the box had the external ip. And yes, you need a router or firewall to get a different IP. One port can have one address at a time.
