HTTP ERROR 400 on webmail

Not applicable

I am receiving an error when I log into webmail:

HTTP ERROR 400

Problem accessing /service/preauth. Reason:

    account is not active:myemail@shaw.ca


Powered by Jetty://

Any idea how to resolve this?

Hi vicdag 

Something like this would mean that there is an issue with the account that will need to be fixed by tech support so you can log in again. There are a couple different ways you can get in touch with them directly. Please note, for email address maintenance we do need to confirm a few things with the account holder for security reasons, so if the account is in a different name, you will need to have the account holder contact us to resolve it. Thanks!

There are a couple different ways you can get in touch with them directly. What is the exact text of the error-message?

Note that this is a user-to-user discussion forum, not a path to contact Shaw Support, but we, on this forum, can try to help, given sufficient details (PC? Mac? Firefox? Google Chrome? Microsoft Edge? Internet Explorer?).

I recommend that you contact Shaw Support (currently, online chat is given priority over telephone) and get them to trouble-shoot to try to resolve.
