@victor_vvv -- The least-expensive solution: think of outdoor lights during Christmas. An inexpensive mechanical timer is used to power-off the lights at 11 PM, and to power-on those lights the next evening, around dusk. Borrow that timer, reset its "timing-points", and use it to control electrical power to your BlueCurve.

No electrical power to the BlueCurve means no noise from its fan, and no WiFi "cloud" inside your home (unless the EMF comes from your neighbours' WiFi clouds).

Don't you need an high-tech app to administer its on/off timings?

A mechanical timer does not.  Just push a few buttons, to set the start/stop time, connect it, and then "forget it". Of course, if you have a non-trustworthy pre-teen/tweenie/teen in your home, with physical access to the timer, it can be "compromised".

@Jovenbriones -- how to do it?

If you want to power-off, to eliminate the WiFi signals bathing your home, see above for my suggestion of using a mechanical timer.

If you want only to "disable" Internet access:

  1. Login to the HITRON (or other non-BlueCurve) cable-modem: http://192.168.0.1
  2. Click the Security button, to see:

Managed Devices

Block Rules -- Allow All / Allow Listed / Block Listed
Rule Name / MAC Address / Managed Weekdays / Managed Time / Action
Save Changes

From here, you can "add" a rule, and set the dates and time for the rule.

@AndreaHarris -- any reasonable expected answer

Which one:

  1. manually pull the plug
  2. one-time configuring of a mechanical timer
  3. manually flip the switch on a power-bar
  4. electronically schedule a repeating event on the device

do you recommend?
