Which method works for you:
Manually cutting AC power from the router, by unplugging it?
Via a smart-plug, and an app on your smart-phone, before you power-off your smart-phone?
Via some programmable capability "inside" the router?
Do they ever read anything? It seems they just try to rubber-stamp everything they see as quickly as possible, perhaps to make their number look good? They are too often useless boilerplate.

By "they", do you mean the Rogers/Shaw employees who "moderate" this discussion forum?
It seems like a great majority of the replies are being made by volunteers -- not employees -- who are trying to help.
If you manage to power-off your WiFi-producing cable-modem, what about the WiFi "clouds" generated by your neighbors' cable-modems? Those (allegedly) harmful signals are bathing your residence. Just "view available networks" to see their clouds.
