Linksys USB stick compatibility?

Grasshopper

Just had Bluecurve installed and the current wireless USB stick is working but fluctuates between 30 and 4000 ping. You read that right.  It seems to be worse as the day goes on and more people in the household use the wifi.  Here are the specs on the USB

  • Compatible with all Wireless AC 802.11ac routers, access points and extenders
  • Features USB 3.0 connectivity
  • Enjoy speeds up to 867 Mbps on a Wireless AC 5 GHz band or up to 300 Mbps speed on a Wireless N 2.4 GHz band

IS this stick not a good fit for this new router? The stick itself is less than 15 feet away from the router, so distance is not the issue.

If all the people in the household try to use the bathroom at the same time, there will be "congestion". Create another bathroom to alleviate.

If all their computers are using the same wireless "channel", there also will be "congestion". Configure some of their computers to use different channels.

You don't. Instead, you configure the wireless adapter on each computer to select a channel within the 2.4 Ghz "band".

The BlueCurve "listens" on all the channels.
