@Perpetualbuffer It is likely that those poor upstream levels are causing the modem to have a hard time locking on and staying online. Hopefully, the technician can track down the problem.
@Perpetualbuffer -- When the modem was working and all that, he couldn't see it on his end as being on though.
It is strange that he could not remotely access it.
Note that "Shaw On Demand TV" requires "two-way" access through any coaxial-cable splitter, not just "downloads" from Shaw. With the splitter in place, and if you have Shaw TV, can you access Shaw On Demand? If not, then consider replacing the splitter.
This was without the splitter.
