Shaw gateway Arris SBG6782 question

Hello , my question is this , we have a Arris SBG6782 modem, the owner of the modem shuts it down at night , then in the morning turns it on again, this happens every night. , does this practice mess with any configuration in the modem or with the ISP's addressing?

Hey ghartridge,

Thank you for reaching out! That shouldn't change any settings on the modem. However, since the IP is dynamic for the modem, it may obtain a new IP when it is off for an extended amount of time. Hope that helps.
