Please help us find out why we are getting this wifi network address livingroom tv with no lock on as shown in picture?
@Myron4 -- no lock on TV's WiFi ...
Your TV connects only to your cable-modem. So, there's no need for encryption/decryption, because there is nothing "confidential" (ID and password) going over WiFi, unless you have a black vehicle, with tinted-glass windows, permanently parked outside your home, trying to "sniff" the many megabytes of traffic going in/out of your TV.
Is it a configuration-option on your TV's "setup" screens to use secure-HTTP ?
Thanks but we have the same tv for 15 years and never seen this.we were just worried about our neighbors hacking in on our wifi.

Don't worry. If the WiFi adapter inside your TV is connected via WiFi to your cable-modem, your TV is not going to "drop" that connection, to allow any other WiFi device to connect to your TV.
You can logon to the web-interface inside your cable-modem, to view the list of "Connected Clients" -- namely all your WiFi-capable devices.
@cd28 -- welcome to this peer-to-peer discussion forum, where volunteers try to help.
