I had logged onto the Rogers Xfinity app to see what it was all about and didn't log out for a couple of days. After that, my doorbell camera went offline and no matter what I did (reset, called Shaw about WIFI stability, etc) it would not reconnect. By some miracle, I saw a blurb about app's creating a firewall and TA DA. When I logged out of Rogers Xfinity, the camera came back online.
If you are having issues with smart devices, maybe check what apps you have open.
