no it doesn't. Many channels are fine, so it tells me its the feed, not the tv.
yes, moved cable box and other items many times (although only an apple tv and 2 minipods near the shaw box). Also ran new coaxial and moved the shaw modem/router to be more central in the house. Tech also came out and installed all new connections at the wall in basement (inlet of services), gave us the new wifi 7 modem, new hdmi cables....we now have really fast consistent speeds (from ookla tests) around the house and for cameras outside....sadly same poop with out-of-sync voice to video continues for several channels (HGTV and ID to name a couple). I am at a loss, the tech guy was too. basically said...that's wifi and this current tech limitations and flaws....not sure I swallow that one....but it appears they have no other solutions for us.
Because of my out of sync sound issues and no solution, I was considering switching since telus said they would buy out my remaining 9 months contract penalties and the cost is very similar (price fixing seems to be going on). May I ask, what did you find wrong with Telus services? Please elaborate.
no sadly, but I believe its not the tv settings since only happens on some select channels...must be the feed at shaw's end
@kwarner2001 -- there is a 9-page discussion on this topic in this forum:
https://support.shaw.ca/t5/tv-discussions/sound-not-syncing-with-picture/td-p/4449/
I think that it's worth your time to read all 9 pages.
@mdk I READ IT ALL. Now what? I have no external speakers. Worked fine prior to this ignite system, same tv. No strange setting for sap or other. Setup as tv speakers stereo sound (default).
only some channels it’s not sync’d. Rebooting all of it doesn’t help. I even traded boxes. Does it on the other tv Different model too.
it must be the feed or the wifi tech has some glitch? I don’t know but this is unacceptable for $200 a month on discount.
@kwarner2001 , Wish I could provide an answer for you but alas I cannot, other than wi-fi glitch as you call it. I can't see how it would be a feed issue since I don't experience any of the issues that you have. However I will admit that Rogers/Shaw has told me on many occasions that my signal strength is exceptional and that could be a reason that I don't experience such problems. This of course is no comfort to you, Seems like you have tried everything that has been suggested with no acceptable outcome. I would for sure keep complaining directly to Rogers/Shaw chat or phone support to get this resolved, you are paying good money for poor service.
Thx appreciate the time you took to try🙂
@kwarner2001 wrote only some channels it’s not sync’d
Which channels are OK? Which channels have the synchronization problem?
I can try those channels on my setup.
Not at home right now, but HGTV was one that’s always out of sync
