@kwarner2001 -- I just watched 6 consecutive commercials on HGTV, plus part of one episode. The voices were properly synchronized. Most of those commercials were "voice-over" audio -- not much focusing on the faces of the actors. Selling the product, not selling the faces.
I have the same problem. On the newer LG smart TV and the older Sony and I even took out an old Fluid tiny TV and it also was out of sync. The tech took some time and politically told me nothing he could do. He tried the sync thing on the smart TV and told me I should play with it. I cannot make it work. I had no problem with it in the past on Shaw and no problem with Bell. It just started when I switched back to Shaw a short while ago. Very disheartening.
I don't have a solution to your audio/video sync issue but maybe a workaround. Occasionally when I experience this problem, switching to the next channel up or down momentarily and then back to the original channel usually rectifies the problem.
