I have a Harmony One remote, added a new device Mfg: XiOne and entered Model Xi6-A clicked on next and was prompted Rogers, Xfinity and Cox Communications Xi6-A. Chose Rogers and it worked fine. Also tried Xfinity it worked to. As per Grasshopper, I can enter the guide, change channels, navigate thru menus, record, pause and rewind live TV etc. Obviously some functions like voice control still need the original Shaw remote but most other functions work normally.

I have an ancient but beloved Harmony 900 (no Harmony Hub) which controls our complicated home theatre setup. I just installed a Shaw XG1v4 TV Player and coded it as an Xfinity X1. It works perfectly and I can use the Voice feature if I want to use the Shaw remote.
Using the Shaw XiD TV Portal, I also used the Xfinity X1 coding on a Harmony Hub system I have for a smaller home theatre system in our home office. It also worked perfectly without disabling the Voice feature.

I should add that on the Harmony 900 setup, its IR extenders work perfectly with the Xfinity X1 coding.
Thanks for the information as it helped me set up the Samsung TV universal remotes I have to work with the Rogers Ignite TV (Xfinity) XiOne-SC boxes. I did this because it allows me to use a more comfortable remote than those atrocious remotes that come with the XiOne boxes. To configure up your Samsung universal remote, use the Samsung TV remote to navigate to "Source" -> "Universal Remote" via the Samsung TV on-screen menu. Select "New Device" then "Set-top box". This will take you to a "Select Additional Devices" screen where you specify how the box is connected to your TV (either "TV directly" or "Via home theater system"). I use "TV directly" but this should work either way. The next screen is "Select your TV service provider". Select "Comcast". This is important because if you don't (say, you enter in "Shaw" or "Rogers" instead), you won't be able to find the "X1" model number when you get to the "Search for Model Number" screen later on in these instructions.
This will take you to the "Select TV Input Source" screen. Select the HDMI port that is connected to the XiOne. This will take you to the "Cable or Satellite Control Test". Here you will have to go through the cycle of hitting the Channel Up (which won't work) and answering "No" to the question "Did the channel change?" 3 or 4 times until you see a "Search model number" option show up. Select 'Search model number". This will bring up the "Search for Model Number" screen. Leave the "Manufacturer: Unknown" setting as it is. In the "Search model number" search bar, enter the following three characters: "x", "space", "space" (the Samsung TVs need at least 3 characters to do a search) and then click "Done". This should bring up a selection list of devices that have the letter "X" in them. The first one should be "X1". Select this one and click "Done". The Samsung remote should now work.
Some notes:
- This worked on two different TVs that are from the 2017 era but have slightly different user interfaces.
- Samsung changes the source icon on the TV source selection list to an "Xfinity" icon. I can't seem to change it but it is a minor thing.
- One of the TVs detected the box as a Roku device. The remote control did not work with this setting. This will change to "Xfinity" when you go through the universal remote setup steps provided above.
- You get to the "Shaw" menu by navigating to the Xfinity icon and then clicking the "Home" icon that appears above it.
- You can get to the "Guide" either by navigating to the Xfinity icon and then clicking the "Guide" icon, or, by pressing the remote's channel up/down toggle directly into the remote (much like how you mute using the volume toggle).
