It depends.

What TV adapter box (PVR?) do you currently have? Do you do much recording of shows?

If you have just one TV and one computer, in the same room, then "wired" will give you the fastest connection.

If you have multiple computers/devices in multiple rooms in your residence, you probably will need "wireless" connectivity.

Wired boxes generally give you a stable connection(no wifi connectivity issues). Of course you are limited by the accessibility of the cable jacks. If you can’t get a jack to the location you want a tv, enter the Xi6 Wireless TV player. That is what I did.  When wireless TV is available in your area your area you might find the wireless option very convenient and there will be less hardware clutter. You will have to have the correct internet service and good stable wifi network in your home.
