Thank you 😁😁😁😀 I had my remote ive been using for over a year do this to me today couldn't get it to change back. Had to do the restart box and did the exit x3 and 0030 + shaw button n it worked!!! I'm so happy I hate the 5 minute skip. Most channels are between 3 and 4 minute commercials anyway shaw! Lol but thank you everyone for the diy fix!
I did too and of course they never knew what the cause was... had to look to the other customers to get technical support. Pretty sad statement for Shaw technical support dept
Just got the new wireless 4k TV and had same problem. The solution (Exit, exit, exit, 0030, Shaw button) worked only when the device was unplugged and the code was entered. Once the device came back on we were back in business with 30 sec advance 15 sec reverse. Thank you!
It's not working. Tried 12 times and still jumps ahead 5 minutes. And who's the idiot that thought a 5 minute jump makes sense?
My telus satellite remote defaults to 30 seconds!

So far, I have avoided the BlueCurve TV box, by declining to replace my Shaw Gateway. So, this is a side-effect of my choice.
