The point of the internal hard drive was to record programs before the cloud pvr was available. 

I believe most areas are now eligible to receive the enhancements.

There are two types of PVR’s....the one I have records to the internal hard disk.  There is another device which does not have an internal Hard disk for recording but records to the cloud instead. 

‘You can combine multiple PVR’s that have the internal hard disk and shows are recorded across all devices (up to 3, for 1.5tb total storage).

I have the same box and, unless you are in an area that doesn’t have the enhancements, it records to the cloud and I have access to my recording on the app.
