Thanks, this gives me some hope. Is there anywhere that I can see a diagram? I ask becasue I think the HDMI splitter is to ensure you can also watch on your tv and still send a signal to the converter, the converter takes the HDMI signal and converts it to a component signal to connect to the slingbox. But what is the video audio converter for and where does it fit? I ask because the converter (https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0088HO1UC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) also has audio out. Can you help me out.
We have a 500, but the same problem. It was working perfectly until one day in late Feb. 2020 when the remote on the iPad changed and stopped responding. I have contacted Slingbox support and they were clueless. When I try to reconfigure, I can't find the correct Arris model in their list, so I think that means we're hooped unless Slingbox adds it. I did a hard restart just to start fresh, and it had an update, but that still didn't work.
Hi all, I recently had Shaw instal the Fibre + Gateway Arris XB6 box and I know I will need a audio video converter, to connect to my M2 Slingbox but the XB6 box doesn’t have a HDMI port.
Any suggestions on how to connect this XB6 box to Slingbox M2? Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You will need to connect the Slingbox to an Xi6 box. If you wanted to watch TV remotely, you could use the BlueCurve TV app and Chromecast to a TV.
Thanks Grand Master 😎 you are all wise, I have ordered the Porta component to HDMI converter.
is there a model# of the Xfinity remote I should download?
Thx Again for your help.
I have the sling box 500 and previously with the COAX Shaw cable box - it worked fine. Now i have the new wireless blue curve service. Small little box that connects via wifi to the Shaw router. I tried the Comcast device you suggested - no good.
@sidshugarman wrote:I have been told on Chat with Shaw that Bluesky is not at all compatible with Slingbox. Is this true and if not has anyone had any success connecting Slingbox to the Bluesky cable box?
Seems none of that will matter very shortly:
