Bluetooth hearing aids on new Shaw Blue Curve setup

I have an LG TV to which is connected via Toslink to my new Blue Curve control box. The external pairing device goes through it's rituals but my new iPhone SE2 will not recognize the presence of the device, and so I can't get it to pair, the phone to Shaw Blue Curve. No see, no pair, and no connect to the hearing aids.

The odd thing is that my wifes (also) new iPhone SE2 went through the process and is working fine.  I have gone through all the settings on her phone, and mine are the same - just doesn't see or pair.

Any suggestions?  Other than a trip to the A Store..

@BerniePregler -- any suggestions?

What happens after your wife "unpairs" her iPhone? Can you then "pair" your iPhone?

Not a new posting - all I sent refers to the same related series of incidents.  I'm still working my way through this conundrum, and if I come up with a solution, or a work-around (plus any additional ingredients to the "recipe" via these conversations, I will post anything useful.  Thanks for taking the time to have a look and make a contribution- I'm retired (and busier than I was when I was employed), but that probably is related to the extra time I have to become more inefficient.

I've been having problems pairing devices to blue curve tv boxes -three different devices, two different tv boxes. Devices are not discovered consistently and, even if they happen to be recognized, the blue curve will not reconnect to them.
