Scheduled episodes marked as "cancelled recording" will become scheduled again after watching a show or rebooting the PVR. Tried using the restarting option, power cycling the PVR, system rebooted by Shaw and still continues to happen. Factory reset proposed by Shaw but will mean losing some recordings not saved to cloud and doubt a factory reset will resolve the issue.
Wondering if others have this issue? Started around 3 months ago.
Thanks
@Mic2879 Are you trying to just cancel a single recording of a series or are you trying to cancel the entire series?
Single recording of a series
Guide appears to be all kinds of messed up as it lists one show (ie CSI Vegas) but when you select it and press Cancel, it comes up with another name (will then read NCIS)
@Mic2879 I have noticed some odd issues lately with series recording repeats and on other channels. Just make sure your recordings are set to record new episodes only, this can be done by modifying the series. Also, if you set a series recording from the guide, you can ensure that the program only records on that specific channel.
Hopefully this is just bad guide data and clears up soon.
Yeah all the series are set to new episodes only and since day one, it still sets any episodes to record.
I am changing over some to be specific channel but still happening. Easy enough to delete for now but once the shows come back with new episodes, PVR will fill up really quickly.
Ideally others are having this issue and also reporting it to Shaw so it gets looked into.
An totally having the same issues: having 3-4 of certain shows, that are taping! This is happening with several different shows. Tried deleted the extra… and they come back! This develops into scheduling conflicts. Very frustrating as this never happened until the last few months.
