@mdkHi, yes its something I already do, in my case its usually 2-3 hours later, depending on the schedule of the show(s). Because of this change there are a few shows I can no longer record as I or someone else in my household may already be recording another show(s) or watching another channel or Wpg Jets game. My schedule also conflicts with some of the later schedule of History West..even if I wanted to record in advance its not always possible. If I had known I would lose access to 421 History East with this TV plan I would never have changed it. I had one of those plans that allowed you select theme packs and this new plan *at the time* Ultimate TV stated History Channel was included but in the scummy*ness* not all of the History Channels are included as i was told it was "free preview". Something I'm angry about in their misleading advertisement / Channel Listing. But I'm looking at other options available so there's that at least.

Allegedly, the Rogers cloud-based PVR can simultaneously record up to SIX channels.

Are you hitting that limit?

I have experienced having two active recordings while watching the Canucks on a different channel.

Yes, though not all the time but there are days when we easily hit that limit.

I personally would like to watch the earlier History channel live because I go to bed earlier and look forward to watching Oak Island on the earlier H. I don't see why we cannot choose which one we prefer. I don't think there is a difference in the progams but I prefer watching earlier or even recording ealier ... I don't want to wait til the next day to watch. If I only want one plus the H+ which  I have, I just don't see why it is so difficult to have one or the other or both.

The Winnipeg Jets compete in the NHL as a member of the Central Division in the Western Conference.

The Winnipeg Bombers CFL team competes in the West division. At the end of the CFL regular season, if their win/loss record is only 3rd in the West, but with a better record that the 3rd-best team in the East, they advance to the East playoffs.

Are you of Swiss extraction, and thus "neutral" ?   🙂

@litho Actually the customer support rep is correct. History was on a national free preview at the time, to where you would've received both History (East) & History (West). The same occurred when YTV and Family Channel were on free preview, customers were receiving both East & West feeds for those channels as well. I can verify this as I also have History channel in my current package, along with YTV and Family Channel... so I logged into the MyShaw account online, to view my list of subscribed channels to which I see that I'm only receiving the West feeds of History, YTV, and Family channels. The time-shift package (add-on) only includes select Canadian and U.S. channels. I sense the frustration as to why you're not receiving the additional feed for History channel, in your case... and perhaps it could be noted that you'll only receive one feed of a specific channel at this time, let alone you subscribe to the channel you'd figure both feeds should be made available, to which I completely empathize with you on that. I believe if you subscribe to a channel, you should be entitled to both feeds, no matter where you live, pending these are national feeds, unlike regional feeds such as TSN & Sportsnet. What I can suggest to you is to fill out the Shaw / Rogers Contact Us Form, to voice your concern and complaint, and with hopes of consideration they (Shaw / Rogers) might make a change to include both feeds for channels that have an East & West feed. I've included the link below where you can address your concern.

It wasn't a free preview, it was part of the Ultimate TV package I had plus a few addons..and before they updated the TV packages to what is now currently listed on their website (i.e Popular TV). When I updated my Internet to the latest package for more bandwidth & speed I also updated my TV Package cause the website showed that my channels from Ultimate TV were also included in the current TV package listed on their website. However their site didn't clearly state that the new TV packages would remove History East and a few other channels. In any case I'm moving as my place just sold and I'm most likely going to cancel the TV subscription with Shaw/Rogers at some point once I've resettled. Also considering trying out Bell's Fibre internet, looking at their top plan its the same price as Shaw's top plan but its a lot faster.

Before you "cancel", check with Rogers to see if they offer services at your new address.  If so, you can just "move" your current account to the new location, without paying any "cancellation" financial penalty.

Of course, your speed depends on the speed of the web-servers that you connect to. If a web-server only pushes out at 200 Mbps, then subscribing to a faster speed will not help.  But, if you have multiple simultaneously-active computers in your home, then having 1000 Mbps will not cause any of those computers to be "bottled-necked".
