how come there is a ad when i turn my tv on

now, when i turn my tv on, there is an ad that you have to click another button to make it go away. this is garbage. SHAW would never do this. thanks ROGERS. this needs to be fixed asap. how come you cant turn the screen saver off? what the point of that? if i want my tv on 24/7, thats my choice.....

It's been there when it was Shaw as well. The "ad" acts as a screensaver/boot-up for the streaming/tv box.

and it also seems to be synced with external TV speakers to turn them on accordingly?
