There was little information about hardware requirements released however. After much searching around and a few chats with Netflix support, I have concluded that Netflix is now streaming their audio in a higher bit rate and is available on DD 5.1 and Atmos formats. Fast over ARC (DD5.1) and Ultra Fast over eARC (Atmos) cables would be required. Toslink Fibre does not posses the bandwidth to take advantage of the new HQ Audio sources.
I couldn’t find anything more about whether Shaw terminals would benefit from HQ Audio sources except that DD5.1 is supported.
Has anyone found more information or experienced the HQ Audio feeds on Shaw gear?
