I had a similar problem on Netflix using the XOne TV Player. Netflix said the problem was with the DNS settings and to talk with Shaw. I returned the little box and reinstated the Xi6 TV player. Everything works fine.
Hi, I tried restarting, rebooting and unplugging (and waiting 15mins) my Shaw Blue Curve TV box and also unplugged the modem as well but unfortunately it didn't work for me but thank you for the suggestion. I also tried signing in out of Prime a few times but that didn't seem to work either.
I’m having the exact same issue. Only with Prime Video and only with Shaw. Prime works if I use my smart TV app or mobile App, but the Shaw Prime Video app is broken.

I signed out of Prime Video on the Blue Curve and then followed these instructions and it worked.
