Program XR15 BlueCurve voice remote A B C D buttons.

I would like to reprogram the A B C or D buttons on my XR15 remote to functions more practical for my uses.  For example, instead of accessibility setting, have the button bring up a listing of recordings.  How can I do that?

Also, is there a full manual on programming the remote and its buttons?

Unfortunately, those buttons can’t be remapped.

Is there a full user manual for the remote?  I see a number of postings about changing other features, so there is more that can be done than just what is given by Shaw.

There is a .PDF manual for the remote, which tells you nothing.

The only "reprogrammable" button seems to be the skip length.

Can we request reprogram of A B C D?

we really need this. Current remote is good but also awkward.

@tc10 -- yes, of course you can make the request, to the manufacturer of the remote-control.

See the recent post by @BigZee for a link to the manufacturer.

Good luck in convincing the manufacturer to add anything.  You may need it.  😞

there is the ability to create buttons in the shaw/rogers webremote interface, so they’re halfway there, …  just need to add in the access codes for the individual keys
