An hour with tech support, online with tech support. Told that the remote will never work with my RCA. I have a different model than OP but this freaking code worked! I entered 27 different codes before this. TRY THIS ONE FIRST, folks. 13332. Thanks to the guy who suggested it.

Thank you! We have been struggling with this for a month and selecting Curtis solved the problem. It took several “didnt work” clicks and then I nearly fell off the couch I was so shocked when the volume finally popped up!

It’s too bad Shaw users have to rely on each other for tech support instead of getting real help from Shaw itself.

After trying for several weeks I found this post and typed in Curtis for tv brand and it worked.

Try hold Setup till Led light at top of the remote turns green.  Press 13577 on the number pad,  then press power to test if it works.

Remote should work power and Volume on the TV

Used Curtis everything works but the on off button does anyone know if there is a fix for this???

You may have to try pairing the remote with a different code, can you try following the steps listed Here under Using Code Search (TV set only).

 found a solution used the code from Curtis brand 11991 I pushed  the mute button and the Shaw button until the light turned green then entered the code and everything noe works on the Shaw XR15 voice remote !!!!
