@CanadaRPM2 -- which model of PVR do you have? 

As mentioned in other posts within this discussion thread, older PVRs have an internal disk-drive, which, in your case, may be failing.

@CanadaRPM2 -- can you start to play one of those recordings, and then hold down the skip forward 15 minutes button on the Shaw remote-control, until the end of the recording? At that point, you should get the "keep or delete" menu. Try "delete". Tell us how it goes.

No error message, just a caption saying “deletion is in progress” but does not delete.

I’m not sure which button is the “skip forward button” but I’ve pressed the fast forward button….I guess the slow way to go…..still didn’t work!

Deleting recorded programs on PVR using Multi-Delete Option

Get into LIST of recorded programs.

Find the “Triangle A” & “Diamond D” buttons below the multi-direction toggle buttons.

Press the “D” button to get into MULTI-DELETE mode.

When in M-D mode, go up and down list of recorded programs and toggle L-R buttons to check off programs you want to delete.

Press D button again. Choose delete option.

When programs are deleted, press EXIT to get back to regular list of recordings.

Press Exit to resume TV
