Remote changes channels on 2 tv's in nursing home

My Uncle is in a shared room in a nursing home. Both have Shaw cable. Is there any way to stop his roommates remote changing my Uncle's channels on his tv and vice versa?

@echislop  Not with the equipment they are using, is there any kind of partition that could be put between the TVs?

@echislop -- the key is in the physical separation between the two Shaw TV boxes. and the "aiming" of each remote-control.

Hopefully, pointing your uncle's remote directly at his Shaw box, not his TV, will not "bleed" the signal to the other Shaw box.

He will need to point at his TV only when using the remote's "Power" button -- the Shaw box never is "off".
